Hello, I am Anna Herbst.

For more than 20 years, I have worked with organisations navigating change – from international corporations to small and medium-sized businesses.


I have seen what works when it comes to maintaining direction, making decisions and bringing people along. And I have seen why transformation fails: most often not for a lack of ideas, but for a lack of clarity about where to go and why.

What I took from large, complex organisations is not “corporate thinking”, but an understanding of the principles that make development possible – without bureaucracy, without wasting resources. Pragmatic and close to daily business, just like the companies I work with.

Organisations in which leaders provide orientation and truly involve their teams develop further.
The others simply react: to markets, to pressure, to crises.

I am deeply convinced that future-ready organisations emerge where clarity, courage and humanity come together.

My strength lies in seeing the bigger picture, recognising patterns early and translating strategy into concrete, workable steps, always together with the people inside the organisation.

That is why I founded Upward Dynamics.

The name reflects our attitude:

A few words about me

  • My ambition is to strengthen people so they can make sound decisions themselves and drive change independently.

  • I believe humour is part of effective leadership: lightness creates connection and opens space for new perspectives – even in demanding transformation processes.

  • Clarity over avoidance: I believe in addressing things openly, even when they are uncomfortable. That is the only way real progress happens.
